T.O.T.S – ToddlersOnTourSpain.com is run by myself – Sarah Bird. I am a mother of 4 girls and a boy (the girls are now quite independent and living in the U.K. Canada and Australia! What a difference a year makes - when I first wrote this , they were all living in the U.K.!)
Since Dec. 2004 I have been upgraded to grandmother status! I now have Four small grandchildren who have visited frequently , hence the desire to make life easier for parents travelling with young children. Seeing my daughters’ struggle with bags and buggies when they came to stay gave me the idea of creating an equipment rental/shopping service in the Costa Tropical area of Spain where I live.
As a qualified nursery nurse and having a large family of my own, I have happily spent my life around children and in doing so have become sensitive to the needs of children and their parents. In the U.K. I was a nursery officer at First Steps Early Excellence Centre in Bath until I left the U.K. for Spain in November 2003. Prior to this I had been a registered childminder for over fifteen years at my home in Bath, creating a stimulating and caring environment for children to learn and grow in. I have been a private nanny both here in Spain and in the U.K. I am therefore very familiar with children’s products and family needs and early year resources.
